Beatrice Elaine Abbas

Beatrice (Bea) Elaine Abbas, 85 of Alden, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Hubbard Care Center.  Funeral service for Bea Abbas will be 11:00 AM, February 18, 2026, at the Alden United Methodist Church, 1512 Hardin Street, Alden, Iowa.  Burial will be at the Alden Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Linn’s Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. There will also be a time of visitation one hour before service time at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Alden United Methodist Church, PO Box 67, Alden, Iowa, 50006. 

Beatrice Elaine Dietz was born October 13, 1940, to Robert Glenn and Hazel Dell (Weeks) Dietz in Des Moines, Iowa.  She attended  Des Moines Community Schools.  Bea was united in marriage to Ronald Clarence Abbas at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa, on August 28, 1960.  To this union four children were born: Raymond, Cindi, Timothy and Michelle.  

Bea was very proud of owning Silks by Bea.  She also was a secretary at State Farm Insurance in Iowa Falls.  Bea was a member of the Alden United Methodist Church.  She also belonged to the Church Women United of Iowa Falls.  Bea enjoyed volunteering at the Thrift Store in Iowa Falls and the Food Pantry in Alden. 

Bea is survived by her three children:  Cindi Harvey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Timothy (Julie) Abbas of Alden, Iowa; and Michelle (Norm) Hayes of Champlin, Minnesota: seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and sisters Gwendolyn, Alyce, and Sandy.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald Clarence Abbas and a son Raymond Abbas.
